IS YOUR ENERGY LEVEL EQUAL TO YOUR HOME HUNTING DESIRE?

4561615964034448039I hope so because it is emotionally and energetically draining to look for a house. Sometimes people may, unknowingly, take for granted what is involved in looking for a new place to move your life to. Think about it, it’s hard enough to move from one apartment to another. However, this time you are BUYING a new home to move your life into. This is usually much more emotionally taxing than you may realize from the start. There is a GAP from where you are to where you want to be. Your Realtor can help you bridge the two but he or she cannot do it alone. You have to be ready to do the work that it may require: Talk to your mortgage broker and get your credit report. You may have never actually seen your credit report. What’s on your credit report? Is everything on your credit report correct? Do you have a common name like John or Mary that could present a problem because someone else has the same name and you’re not that Mary or John? Is your credit score too low to get a mortgage without a co-signer? Now you have to put a plan together to pay off those bills and raise your credit score. You may have to get on the phone with Experian, Transunion or Equifax or start an inquiry online. Whew!
See what I mean?

Do you have the energy for all of that? And that is just the beginning.

Make sure your desires and your energy level match the amount of work you will have to do to reach the new home and fill that Gap. Be sure to keep the lines of communication with your Realtor open. Let him or her know how you feel: tired, frustrated, upset, pissed off. Be Honest. You two (or more) are in this together and if you keep the lines of communication open, it will make it easier to get what needs to be done completed and it will create a great experience for everyone.

LET’S HAVE A MEETING ABOUT BAY BREEZE!

You’re Invited to a meeting that I will invite the Builder and his staff to speak to you and answer any questions you have. The meeting will be held in our Northfield NJ office.

If you’re interested in getting all of your questions answered about this new project called Bay Breeze in Pleasantville, NJ, let me know if Wednesday or Saturday is a good day. Yes I know it’s short notice and if those days are not good, let’s do a majority rule day.

Please let me know so I can inform the Builder. Thank you.
