  1. Will there still be a California Commons? Robert Kahan the developer was recently indicted on 25 counts of fraud!! It’s all on the news and Internet! Seems like the city of Pleasantville is cursed with bad politics all around !

  2. Wow this page looks helpful! So has there been any progress? I’ve been hearing about this development and I’m highly considering an application do they have the permit yet? I’ve hurd yes but I dnt know how to contact them

    • Hi Marybell, thanks for stopping by. I have yet to hear from them but I will keep you posted and let you know what is going on as soon as I know. I will be reaching out again to them next week.

    • Hi Kim, Thanks for checking in. I called them today and received no response. Will call again tomorrow to see if anyone is in on Saturday or I will call again on Monday. I will post something tomorrow, if I get a response from the office.

    • Hi Kim, just spoke to Robert and he said that he would have more information for me when I call again in the middle of the week (Wed. or Thurs.) but everything is moving forward. That’s all I have until I speak to him again. Keep checking in everyone. Thank you.

  3. More information as far as what exactly ? But I’m glad they have the permit I just don’t think the houses will b available when they say they are

    • Hi Kim, more information as far as when they are going to break ground. No, they are
already behind schedule. When I first found out about this project they were supposed
to break ground in July or July.

    • Hi Kim, I am sorry to report that I called the office number that California Commons has had and it says that the number is no longer in service. I am very sorry and disappointed.

If I get anymore information, I will report it.

  4. Hi simone I emailed u but haven’t recieved anything back yet have you heard any new news about tara developers their lines are still down

    • Hi Kim, sorry for the delay. Was out of town and could not find Wi-Fi access (go figure)! Yes, California Commons is a Go. Whether or not Robert Kahan will be a part of the project going forward is unknown but they are voting on November 14 to bring in a new person to either assist or take over the project completely. The City of Pleasantville wants to see this project completed. If I can help you in anyway, please call or email me so we can set up a time to speak. Sorry again for delay in responding. Have a great weekend.

  5. I was told the same ! I did a lil diggn myself I was told mike fink will be taking over he’s been there competition .. I was told today they have been approved for the turn over by the state .. and that n the next week or two wen the tranfer is complete they will be havn interviews with those who got approved for the first phase and will start n the begining of the year and be done by summer. . Do you know why tara developers are no longer involved?

    • Hi Kim, that’s great. Oh, they must have approved Michael Fink before the November 14th meeting. Tara Developers is probably no longer involved because Robert Kahan was brought up on fraud charges. When I asked him about it, he said that it was a separate issue from California Commons and the project would move forward. However, I am guessing the Board didn’t see it the same way.

  6. But there’s another project .. 6 single homes 14 twin homes to be built in pleasantville and those who applied with California Commns will get reffered over to this project do you have any info about this project?

    • Hi Kim, yes when you replied in your post “…there’s another project..6 single homes 14 twin homes” that is the same project being called Bay Breeze in Pleasantville, NJ and those who applied with California Commons will be referred over to this project. It is the same project I spoke of in my post.

  7. Oh ok do you have any info as far as the developer ? Date of ground breaking? Are there any assistance programs available like the California C. Exct..

  8. It’s a shame you don’t have a donate button! I’d definitely donate to this superb blog!
I guess for now i’ll settle for bookmarking and adding
your RSS feed to my Google account. I look forward to new updates and will share this blog
with my Facebook group. Chat soon!

  9. Wonderful blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..
    Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

    • Hi blog review, thank you for stopping by. I appreciate the feedback. I’m humbled by your compliment. It means a lot. If I could offer any suggestions, it would be to write about what you enjoy. I see the word photo in your feed. Pictures are always great and worth a thousand words so if you have great pictures that you take, be sure to include them and write great posts (they don’t have to be long) with your pics. Yes, I would suggest you start with word press for your blog because the SEO experts say that word press blogs are given google love. Don’t be overwhelmed. Just start with a word press blog and if you’re a photographer put in some great pics with your words and you will be off to a great start. Please send me the link so I can take a look. I hope that helps. :).
